My first dragon description was for my self-caught CB silver, Davinath – I thought it was going to be the only description I’d ever write, chiefly because I thought he was going to be the rarest dragon on my scroll for practically ever. When I summoned my first Guard Of Nature, however, I changed my tune; and when the 2013 Birthday Release was looming on the horizon and I was trying to resist the urge to egg-lock myself, I wrote a bunch of further descriptions.
Since the description system is totally broken (if you think otherwise, feel free to fight me over it – it still manages to make me angry whenever I interact with it now), whereas I previously always went through the effort of describing specific species (Guardians of Nature, Neglected dragons, CB metallics, gemshards, Arsanis, vampires) or project dragons (Montagues), I no longer describe dragons unless there’s a pressing urge to.
To put a stronger point on it than you’ll likely hear me bother to make about anything else on Dragon Cave, I loathe the description system, and the change TJ made a few years back to let people opt-in to viewing unapproved descriptions was a slap in the face, as it did nothing to integrate the description-writing community (the only ones who will toggle that opt-in) better into the rest of the site.
Occasionally I’ll make the mistake of trying again and get intensely annoyed at the completely unnecessary gating process.

Who says Goths are Black – Male CB Black-Capped Teimarr
Who says Goths are Black believes he’s a particularly clever devil’s advocate – but constantly undermines that personality trait of his with an at least equally strong shy streak and habitual avoidance of all conflict. In consequence, it’s his friends that have to endure most of his nitpicky debating – the ones that he feels comfortable around, those he knows with certainty he needn’t fear. If etiquette demands he give feedback to a stranger, he’ll try to cover his bases by doing so as politely as he can while struggling to stay as honest as possible… but he’d really prefer to disappear, clamouring for anonymity unless he has only praise to utter.
This dragon isn’t on my scroll, but herk’s, part of the huge Descripdoom rainbow lineage. This dragon represents me – and my terrible reviewing habits! Of course, since he’s not on my scroll, I won’t see what reviews he gets in the description queue, but as long as his link is on this page I should notice when his description is approved, at least. ;) (2020 update: Still not approved. Gotta love the description system.)
Valcen-sha – Genderless 3G Neglected hatchling (male pronouns)
Valcen-sha is a mental and physical copy that the dragon Valcen has made of himself. The suffix in Valcen-sha’s name corresponds to being numbered ‘second’ according to the conventions of their mother tongue; correspondingly, the original Valcen is occasionally referred to as Valcen-za (‘Valcen the First’) by those who wish to differentiate the two.
As Valcen-sha is younger than the original Valcen, these two incarnations of the same mind follow the convention that, should they ever disagree, Valcen-sha’s opinion takes precedence; after all, his mind is presumably still clearer than that of his progenitor.
