Unsurprisingly, there are some sprites I like more than others. That’s rarely an attempt of mine to claim objective sprite quality. Instead, some sprites simply fall off my aesthetic radar.
As such, please don’t take low ratings on my part as any sort of objective statement or gauge – it’s not.
Completed List Favorites
Before I get into the currently released dragons that I enjoy, both for my convenience and anyone else that might be curious, I also have a list of Completed List favourites on the Dragon Cave forums themselves.
With that out of the way with, currently in the cave:
Cave Favorites
This list is generated out of a ranking script I have on my computer and some of the entries are currently still a little mis-filed, as half of the Dragon Cave sprites have only been ranked against approximately 100 other randomised sprites, which, while decent, is a number low enough to occasionally skew the results. I still prefer publishing it over not publishing it, though, as the old list had grown inaccurate in other ways.
Each time I update this list, I move some things from category #3 into category #2 and some from category #2 into category #1. This makes the list a little more volatile (depending a bit on my mood on day of publish) on the one hand and a little more reliable on the other (factoring in some emotional connections that the ranking script doesn’t reliably capture).
